This course includes hypovolemic shock, wound healing, prevention and management of surgical site infections,enteral and parenteral nutrition and nursing approaches, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, cardiovascular system, nervous system, trauma musculoskeletal system, urinary system diseases and organ transplantation which require surgical intervention and associated with the clinic.
This course includes the development of nursing care management in the fields of General Surgery, Orthopedics, Chest Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Urology, Ear Nose and Throat Clinics, Emergency Departments, Operating Room and Intensive Care Units , which are the fields of surgical nursing and theoretical knowledge.
In this course, students will be given information about general physiopathological conditions, physiology of systems and will be discussed pathophysiology of common symptoms.
The objective of this course is to have the students utilize their knowledge in surgical nursing interventions in preparing a master thesis.
