Health is a key concern of the global agenda and of our country. When taking the advancement of technology and the ever-increasing importance of health, scientific research crossing borders, high level of competence expected of health professionals globally, and impact of innovations in health on economy into consideration, graduate level of education in Health Sciences need to be of utmost quality and novel. The primary mission of Izmir University of Economics Graduate School of Health Sciences is to offer advanced level of theoretical and practical Graduate Education to university graduates with a Bachelor’s (or MD) degree. We aim to train successful scientists in the field of medical and health sciences and to offer them an opportunity to do research on an international scale, as well as to educate them as health science specialists who can successfully work in a wide range of health institutions and sectors. The programmes within the Graduate School of Health Sciences are being developed in accordance with the criteria of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey and of Bologna, European Union Salzburg Principles, and recommenations of EUA Doctoral Council and of ORPHEUS (the Organization for PhD Education in Biomedicine and Health Sciences in the European System). Our doors are open to prospect students for the following MSc programmes: Reproductive Biology (With and Without thesis) (In Turkish); Quality and Patient Safety in Healthcare (With and Without Thesis) (In Turkish), Health Institutions Management (Without thesis) (In Turkish), Surgical Nursing (With Thesis) (in Turkish). This, at the same time, will be a gate to the careers of graduate students admitted to the distinguished learning environment of Izmir University of Economics.
